Join The First Script Read Club of 2025!
"You'll have bad times, but it'll always wake you up to the good stuff you weren't paying attention to."
The date is January 16th 2025 and the world is quite literally on fire… maybe slowing to a smoke all while we’re headed into a tumultuous four years of chaos - there will be fighting, conspiracies, endless lies, wrongs and cruelty committed but we’re not going anywhere. We gotta keep trudging along towards our goals of writing and sharing stories with each other and helping when we can.
I’m extremely excited to share that this month’s script club read is one of my all time favorites. A story so perfectly told about self-discovery and our own potential, deeply intimate yet universally relevant. With SO MANY iconic lines.
GOOD WILL HUNTING by Matt Damon & Ben Affleck
I can’t wait to fall back in love with it all over again.

What is Script Read Club?
Similar to a book club but it’s all about a script (shocker!) We’ll jump on a video chat and talk about what we loved, what surprised us, things we learned. Usually I’d also suggest doing a re-watch of the pilot/film beforehand (if it’s available!) as we’ll be chatting all things: plot, characters and development, dialogue, settings, themes, favorite moments, how did the show and screenplay compare and more!
Why Script Read Club?
Reading scripts is what I equate to taking my screenwriting work to the next level. The insights I gained from reading my favorite tv shows and writers work allowed me to better understand not only proper formatting of a script but the infinitely creative ways in which stories can be told in script format, how to define characters through dialogue, how important it is to develop my own sense of style and voice and so much more and when I was able to talk out the big ideas I took away from the read with friends, it enhanced it that much more!
This is a space for anyone who wants to be a writer, director or actor or just someone who loves to read.
Below you’ll find the slack invite, date, links to scripts and more! Can’t wait to see y’all there!
